Why bother? The factory lights work fine.
They do. But the 200 Series is a $80–100k vehicle and the factory rear end looks like it came off a 2007 Camry. The sequential LEDs and start-up animation are the kind of detail that makes people ask what year it is. It's also a 20-minute DIY job — and you're keeping $250 compared to what these normally sell for.
What's actually different from factory
Sequential indicators
Turn signals sweep outward in a flowing LED sequence rather than a single flash. Thousands of 4WD owners run them across Australia without issue. Same effect you see on high-end European vehicles, on your LC200.
Start-up animation
Clean LED sweep runs when you switch the park lights on. It's not a gimmick people get tired of — it's the detail that makes the 200 Series look current, not 2007.
Full LED — brake, tail, reverse and indicators
Every light function across all 4 units runs LED. No bulbs to replace, ever. Brake lights illuminate faster than halogen — meaningful at 100km/h. No warm-up lag in the cold.

"Will these hold up, or fall apart in 12 months?"
Fair question. The housings are fully sealed against dust and moisture — important on corrugated tracks where vibration and water ingress kill cheap units. UV-resistant lenses won't haze. We back them with a 12-month warranty and NSW-based support. If something fails, we deal with it — not a freight forwarder in Shenzhen.
Installation — 20 to 30 minutes
All you need is a 10mm socket. Beginner friendly.

Remove the factory tail lights — unscrew and unplug each unit from the factory connector.

Plug the new units into the same factory wiring connectors — direct fit, no splicing.

Secure with factory mounting bolts. Repeat for all 4 units.

Test indicators, brake lights and reverse. Done.

Common questions
Are sequential indicators legal in Australia?
Yes — sequential amber indicators are widely used across Australia. Thousands of LC200, Hilux, Patrol and Ranger owners run them daily without issue. The turn signal function is identical to standard indicators, just displayed in a sweeping LED sequence. No problems at roadworthy inspections.
Will I get canbus errors or hyperflash?
No — designed to work with the LC200 factory canbus without resistors. No dash warning lights, no hyperflash on the indicators. If you experience any issue after install, message us on live chat and we'll sort it immediately.
I tow a trailer — will this affect my trailer indicators?
Your trailer wiring connects to the factory trailer plug at the rear of the vehicle — separate from the tail light wiring. Replacing the tail lights doesn't affect the trailer wiring circuit. Trailer indicators will continue to operate normally.
Will this affect my Toyota warranty?
The install is fully reversible — original tail lights unplug and refit exactly as they were. Under Australian Consumer Law, a modification can only affect warranty on parts directly related to it. Your engine, drivetrain and mechanical components are not affected by a tail light swap.
Will these fit my 2007–2015 LC200?
No — this is for the 2016–2022 facelift model only. The pre-facelift LC200 (2007–2015) has a different housing shape. We have a separate product for that model. Check your compliance plate or jump on live chat and we'll point you to the right one.
Do I need an auto electrician to fit these?
No — all 4 units plug directly into your factory wiring connectors. 10mm socket, 20–30 minutes. If you can change a headlight globe you can install these. Step-by-step guide included.
