The rear end upgrade

The factory Triton MR tail lights are functional but unremarkable. These are full LED replacement assemblies in the newer, redesigned housing style — they bolt into factory mounts, plug into the factory connector, and upgrade every function to full LED — with built-in resistors so there's no hyperflash, no dash warnings, nothing to sort. Smoked lens, modern look, done in 15 minutes.

Remove factory tail lights
A few screws accessible from inside the boot or under the tub liner. Unplug the connector — factory lights out.

Plug in and seat the new lights
Factory connector plugs directly in. Seat the housing into the factory mount — bolts back in with the same hardware.

Test and done
Check brake, indicator, tail and reverse. Both sides under 15 minutes. No warning lights, no fast flashing — works as it should.

MR only — the MQ (2015–2018) uses a different housing and these won't clip in. Not sure which generation you have? The MR has angular, sharper-edged headlights. The MQ has rounder, older-style lights. Still unsure — check your compliance plate or message us.

No — standard flash, same rate as factory. Not a sequential/chase pattern.

Do I need resistors or coding?+

No — resistors are built into the housing. Plug in and it works exactly as factory, no coding required.

Will they fit my Single, Club or Double Cab?+

Yes — fits all three body styles on the MR generation with a factory tub, any trim level.

Will they fit an aftermarket tray?+

No — factory tub models only. If the original tub has been replaced with a steel or alloy tray, the factory mount is gone.

How difficult is installation?+
