The 70 Series was built for places where good headlights actually matter — outback tracks, rural highways, unsealed roads at night. The factory halogen lets you down every time. These bi-LED projector assemblies replace the entire headlight unit, plug into the factory H4 connector, bolt into the factory mount, and produce a focused beam with integrated DRL. The difference is immediate.

Remove the factory headlights
Unclip the H4 connector. Remove retaining bolts — 3 per side. Factory headlight pulls straight out.

Factory H4 plug connects directly to the included harness. Main wiring done.

Common Questions
Straight answers
Does it fit the 76 Wagon, 78 Troopy and 79 Single/Dual Cab?
Yes — all three body styles use the same headlight housing from April 2007 to September 2023. Workmate, GX and GXL all fit. Direct replacement, no modification.
What about the updated 70 Series from September 2023?
Does not fit. Toyota completely redesigned the 70 Series headlight housing at the September 2023 update. If your build date is September 2023 or later, these won't fit. Check your compliance plate.
Will I get canbus errors or a dash warning light?
No. The 70 Series doesn't run a canbus system for headlights — it uses a straightforward H4 halogen circuit. No relay harness or resistors needed.
Will the housings fog up?
These use controlled ventilation to manage internal pressure. Minor temporary condensation after a cold night is normal and clears when lights warm up. Persistent fogging is covered under the 12-month warranty.
Do I need an auto electrician?
No. The H4 connection is a simple plug swap. The DRL is the only additional wire — clearly covered in the guide. Most 70 Series owners complete the install in under 90 minutes with basic tools.
