Will these cause any warning lights or errors?
No. The 78 Series tail light circuit runs a direct 12V connection with no canbus monitoring on that circuit.
I tow a trailer — will this affect my trailer indicators?
No. Trailer wiring runs through the factory trailer plug, a separate circuit from the tail lights.
Is the sweeping indicator legal to run?
It's common on Australian 4WDs and entirely optional — you don't need to wire it in to use the tail lights. If road compliance matters to you, worth a quick check with your state's transport authority before connecting it.
