Essentials vs Elite — which one?
Both run identical features. The difference is performance, storage and — the one that matters on tour — internet connectivity.
The Elite can have its own internet. Your phone stays in your pocket — if you want it to.
Drop your own data SIM into the head unit (not included) and it runs its own 4G connection, independent of your phone. Don't want to run a SIM? No problem — leave the slot empty and the Elite works exactly like the Essentials, off your phone's hotspot. The 4G is there if you want it, not a requirement.

Common questions
What's the real difference between Essentials and Elite?

Both have identical features — CarPlay, GPS, Android apps. The Elite has more RAM (smoother), more storage, and a 4G SIM slot so the head unit can have its own internet independent of your phone (SIM card and data plan not included, sourced separately). If you never fit a SIM, Elite still runs off your phone's hotspot exactly like Essentials — the 4G is optional, not required.
Do I need to buy anything extra for the 4G on Elite?

Elite gives you the physical SIM slot and antenna for standalone 4G — the SIM card and a data plan are yours to source, same as you would for a phone. Without a SIM fitted, it falls back to using your phone's hotspot like Essentials.
Will it cause dash warning lights?

The included wiring harness is designed to prevent canbus errors on the Prado 120. If you have any issues after install, message us and we'll sort it.
Do steering wheel controls work?

Does it work with a reverse camera?

Most Prado 120s didn't run a factory reverse camera. Already have an aftermarket one fitted? It connects and auto-activates in reverse — plug-and-play, no re-wiring. Starting from scratch? The 1080P camera add-on at checkout is the easiest option.
Does it work with my aftermarket sound system?

Yes — RCA outputs for front, rear and subwoofer. Compatible with aftermarket amps, subs and upgraded speakers. Message us your setup and we'll confirm before you order.
Will this void my vehicle warranty?

The install is fully reversible — original parts unplug and refit exactly as they were. A manufacturer generally can't void your whole vehicle warranty over an unrelated aftermarket part, but we're not lawyers and this isn't legal advice — if you're unsure, it's worth a quick check with your dealer.
