The D-MAX looks modern. Why change the tail lights?
The 2020+ D-MAX already has a sharp exterior — but the factory tail lights are amber and clear. Smoked LEDs are the quickest way to sharpen the rear end and match the blacked-out look most D-MAX owners are building. Brighter brake lights and LED indicators are a practical bonus. Fifteen minutes, no tools beyond a socket set.
What's different from factory
Smoked lens — blacked-out, not obviously aftermarket
Replaces the amber and clear factory lenses with a smoked finish. Keeps the OEM profile and mounting — from the outside it looks like it came from the factory that way. Works across all D-MAX colours.
Full LED — brake, indicators, reverse and park
Every light function runs LED. Brighter brake lights illuminate faster — the vehicle behind you reacts sooner. No bulbs to replace, ever.
No canbus errors, no hyperflash, no resistors
Designed for the 2020+ D-MAX electronics. The newer D-MAX is canbus-sensitive — cheaper LED units cause error codes. These don't. Plug in and it works exactly as factory.

Common questions
Will these look obviously aftermarket or OEM?
The smoked lens keeps the factory housing profile — same shape, same mounting, same position. From a distance it looks like a factory option. Up close the smoked lens is visible but clean — not cheap or busy. Most people assume it came that way.
Will I get canbus errors or hyperflash on the 2020+ D-MAX?
No — designed specifically for the 2020+ D-MAX canbus system. No resistors needed, no error codes, no hyperflash. The newer D-MAX is more canbus-sensitive than older models — cheaper LED units do cause issues, these are built to avoid that. If you experience anything after install, message us on live chat and we'll sort it immediately.
I have a tub liner — does that cause any issues?
No — compatible with both plastic drop-in liners and spray-on liners. The liner sits inside the tub and doesn't affect the tail light mounting or wiring.
I tow a trailer — will this affect my trailer indicators?
No — your trailer wiring connects to the factory trailer plug, which is a separate circuit from the tail light wiring. Replacing the tail lights doesn't affect trailer indicator operation.
Will this affect my Isuzu warranty?
The install is fully reversible — original tail lights unplug and refit exactly as they were. Under Australian Consumer Law, a modification can only affect warranty on parts directly related to it. Your engine, drivetrain and mechanical components are not affected.
What's the returns policy?
30-day returns on unused, unopened items — store credit issued. Faulty unit? We cover return shipping and replace or refund under the 12-month warranty. Full policy here.
My D-MAX has a tray fitted — will these work?
No — these are for factory tub D-MAX models only. If the original tub has been removed and replaced with an aftermarket steel or alloy tray, the factory tail light mounting is gone and these units won't fit. Jump on live chat if you're unsure.
