9" Plug & Play Head Unit · Holden Colorado RC · 2008–2012
The RC Colorado is old enough for a proper interior upgrade. This is it.
9-inch touchscreen, wireless CarPlay & Android Auto, built-in GPS, vehicle-specific fascia. Plugs directly into your factory wiring — no cutting, no coding, no auto electrician.
Skip the auto electrician. Save a couple hundred dollars in labour.
Plug-and-play wiring loom connects directly to your factory harness — no splicing, no coding.
The three things RC Colorado owners care about
GPS that works without phone signal
Built-in GPS tracks your position even in dead zones. Add Hema, Google Maps or Newtracs from the Play Store for full outback coverage. Independent of mobile data.
Wireless CarPlay — phone stays in your pocket
Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, with a wired option if you'd rather plug in.
30–45 minute install. No auto electrician.
Remove factory radio, plug in the included loom, fit the fascia, power on.
Everything else that's in it
Full Android 13 — download Hema, Spotify, Netflix direct from Play Store
8-core processor, 32-band DSP sound tuning
Steering wheel controls retained — volume, skip, call, no extra parts
RCA outputs for aftermarket audio, dual mics, 2× USB, GPS antenna — all included
Essentials vs Elite — which one?
Both run identical features. The difference is performance, storage and — the one that matters on tour — internet connectivity.
The Elite can have its own internet. Your phone stays in your pocket — if you want it to.
Fit your own data SIM (not included) and it runs its own 4G connection, independent of your phone. Prefer not to run a SIM? The Elite works exactly like the Essentials, off your phone's hotspot. The 4G capability is there if you want it, never a requirement.

Common questions
What's the real difference between Essentials and Elite?
+
Both have identical features — CarPlay, GPS, Android apps, steering wheel controls. The Elite has more RAM (smoother), more storage (4×), and a 4G SIM slot so the head unit can have its own internet independent of your phone (SIM card and data plan not included, sourced separately). If you never fit a SIM, Elite still runs off your phone's hotspot exactly like Essentials — the 4G is optional, not required.
Do I need to buy anything extra for the 4G on Elite?
+
Elite gives you the physical SIM slot and antenna for standalone 4G — the SIM card and a data plan are yours to source, same as you would for a phone. Without a SIM fitted, it falls back to using your phone's hotspot like Essentials.
Will it cause dash warning lights?
+
The included wiring harness is designed to prevent canbus errors. If you experience any issues after install, message us and we'll sort it fast.
Does it work with my aftermarket sound system?
+
Yes — RCA outputs for front, rear and subwoofer. Compatible with amplifiers and upgraded speaker systems. Message us if you have a specific setup and we'll confirm before you order.
Will this void my vehicle warranty?
+
The install is fully reversible — original parts unplug and can be refitted. A manufacturer generally can't void your whole vehicle warranty over an unrelated aftermarket part, but we're not lawyers and this isn't legal advice — if you're unsure, it's worth a quick check with your dealer.
