Why the 13" over our 9" LC70 head units?
✔A genuinely different unit, not a bigger screen bolted on. This is a fully custom fascia and display built for the 13" format — it doesn't share parts with the 9" range.
✔4G SIM standard on both Essentials and Elite. On the 9" range, standalone 4G is an Elite-only feature. Here it's included either way.
✔Higher spec at every tier — Essentials starts at 4GB RAM / 64GB storage (vs 3GB / 32GB on the 9" Essentials), and Elite runs 8GB / 256GB (vs 6GB / 128GB).
✔Screen size that actually matters at speed — Hema and navigation are genuinely easier to read on 13" of integrated display than a 9" unit.

Essentials vs Elite — which one?

Both include the 4G SIM slot and identical core features. The difference is performance — specifically, whether Hema and a dashcam app can run at the same time without lag.

The real-world difference: running two things at once

On Essentials, running Hema and a dashcam app simultaneously can lag — close one to open the other on a long run. Elite's extra RAM handles both at once with no compromise. If you tour seriously and want everything running together, Elite is the right call. If you're happy switching between apps, Essentials covers daily driving and touring comfortably.

Will it handle the heat and corrugations?
Built for Australian conditions — heat-stable construction, vibration-resistant internals. If you have a specific concern about your setup, message us before ordering.
Can I run a dashcam through this unit?
Yes — dashcam apps run directly from the Play Store on the 13" screen. On Elite, it runs alongside Hema with no lag; on Essentials, you'll want to close one to open the other on a long run.
Will Hema Explorer work properly?
Yes. Download from the Play Store, purchase your maps in-app, and they run directly on the unit. Elite's 256GB fits the full Hema library alongside other apps. GPS works completely standalone — no phone or data connection required for navigation.
What SIM card do I need?
Micro SIM, standard Australian 4G bands — Telstra, Optus or Vodafone. Buy a data-only SIM from any carrier and insert directly. One-time APN setup takes about two minutes. Not planning to use the SIM slot? The unit runs fine off your phone's hotspot instead.
What are the external antenna ports for?
One WiFi, one Bluetooth — run high-gain external antennas for extended range at camp. Most setups won't need them, but they're there if you want them.
Will this void my vehicle warranty?
The install is fully reversible — the original unit and trim unplug and refit exactly as removed. A manufacturer generally can't void your whole vehicle warranty over an unrelated aftermarket part, but we're not lawyers and this isn't legal advice — if you're unsure, it's worth a quick check with your dealer.
What if something goes wrong?
12-month warranty covers defects and hardware faults. Contact us first so we can diagnose the issue and arrange the appropriate solution. 30-day change-of-mind returns on unused items. NSW-based team — message us and most issues are resolved in one conversation. Full policy here.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Eligible change-of-mind returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery when the product remains brand new, unused and in its original sealed packaging. Change-of-mind returns are issued as store credit and require prior approval — message us before sending anything back. Full policy here.
Will it fit my pre-2009 70 Series?
Confirmed fitment is for the 2009–2026 generation only. Earlier models use a different dash layout. Message us with your build date and we'll confirm.
