LandCruiser 100 Series · 1997 – 2007

The screen your LandCruiser 100 should have come with.

Still the best tourer Toyota built. Shame about the 20-year-old radio.

Your phone’s maps, music and calls on a 9-inch screen, plugged into the wiring your LandCruiser 100 already has. Skip the auto electrician: nothing gets cut.

Fits

100 and 105 Series, GX, GXL and RV grades with the factory radio
1997 to 2002, or 2003 to 2007. Pick your dash above

Not for the VX or Sahara. The two dash fascias are different, so pick the right year. Not sure, or buying it for someone? Message us a photo of the dash or the build year and we’ll say exactly which unit.

Got a trip computer with the radio?A trip computer mounted with the factory radio isn’t kept unless the new fascia has a spot for it. Message us if yours has one.
Which dash do I have?1997 to 2002: the radio and climate controls sit in one black panel. 2003 to 2007: the radio has its own opening with air vents beside it. A photo of the dash settles it in a minute. The 105 Series shares the same dash.

Essentials or Elite?

EssentialsMost popularBest for daily driving. Uses your phone’s hotspot for internet. 3GB RAM, 32GB storage.
EliteBest for touring. Its own 4G SIM slot, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for more maps and apps. SIM and plan not included.
The Elite can have its own internet.Drop a data SIM in and it gets online wherever your network reaches, without your phone. Leave the slot empty and it runs off your hotspot like the Essentials. Same screen and features on both; no signal at all, the GPS keeps tracking on either. Any standard Australian data SIM works (not included); check your carrier’s coverage where you drive.

In the box: 9-inch screen, fascia matched to your dash, plug-in loom, GPS antenna, external mic, two USB leads, camera lead. Elite adds the 4G antenna and SIM tray.

Add the reverse camera and engine readerMost orders include it. 1080P camera comes on when you select reverse; it’s the one bit of real wiring (joins your reverse-light wire, about two hours, the guide walks you through it). Engine reader plugs into the diagnostic port and shows live engine data and fault codes on screen (on vehicles built before about 2007 it may show little or nothing). Tick it above when you choose your edition.

What it does

CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless or on a cable
Built-in GPS. Run Hema, Google Maps or Newtracs
Hands-free calls through the external mic in the box
FM radio, Bluetooth, Spotify and your other apps
Your factory speakers plug straight in. Want an amp or sub later? The leads are already there
A plug for a reverse camera, and two USB leads

Fit it in about an hour

1Factory radio outDisconnect the battery first (airbags). 1997–2002: the radio and climate controls share one fascia, so ease it off slowly (old clips go brittle, warm the cabin first). 2003–2007: lever out the side air vents, undo the 10mm bolts and ease the radio out
2Plug the loom inEvery factory plug has a matching plug on the loom. Nothing gets cut
3Move your switches1997–2002: climate controls move onto the new fascia. 2003–2007: the air vents go back in once the unit is fitted
4Test, then fitPower up before you clip it in. Check sound, your phone connects and GPS finds you. Then fit the fascia

Tools: trim tools, Phillips screwdriver, 10mm socket, tape and cable ties. Full guide online here. Stuck mid-job? Message us a photo and we’ll talk you through it.

Not keen on tools? An auto electrician or car audio shop can fit it in about an hour. Send them the guide.

Questions

Delivery?

Free AusPost shipping from NSW. Recent orders to NSW and QLD have taken 3 to 6 business days; allow a little longer elsewhere and longest for WA and the NT.

Will it drain my battery?

It goes to sleep when the key is off. If the vehicle sits for weeks, set the shortest sleep time in settings and unplug the engine reader.

Will it throw dash warning lights?

The loom includes a box that talks to your vehicle’s wiring (the CAN interface), so warning lights aren’t expected. If one shows after fitting, message us a photo and we’ll sort it.

Steering wheel buttons?

Where your 100 has them, yes. They connect through the loom and you pair them in the settings.

Maps with no signal?

The GPS works anywhere. Download your maps before you go: Google Maps offline areas are free, and Hema (paid) is built for the bush.

Factory USB socket and antenna?

Your factory antenna connects to the loom, with an adapter where your vehicle needs one. The factory USB socket usually stops working (the unit has its own two USB leads); on some vehicles it can be kept, so message us if that matters.
